I’m Chris McKeown, and I photograph elopements on Maui for couples who want their wedding day to feel as real and as free as their love actually is. No venue minimums. No seating charts. Just you, your person, and Maui’s wild, beautiful, extraordinary backdrop.

WHY MAUI IS THE PERFECT ELOPEMENT DESTINATION Maui offers something no ballroom can: genuine awe. Cliffside ceremonies above crashing waves. Sunrise vows above the clouds on Haleakalā. Barefoot on a secluded beach with nobody else around.

TIMING & DETAILS Permits: I’ll handle what’s needed for the location. Best time of year: Maui is beautiful year-round. What to wear: Whatever makes you feel like you. How long: I recommend at least a half-day.

FAQ Do we need an officiant? Yes, for a legal Hawaii ceremony you’ll need a licensed officiant.

Can we bring a few guests? Absolutely—many elopements include a small group.

Do you handle permits? Yes, I’ll take care of it.
