Since my initial post featuring Kawai's maternity shoot, the outpouring of support from the community has been nothing short of remarkable. Special shoutout to Rebekah , whose compassionate efforts not only secured temporary housing but also furnished the entire place while Kawai was in the hospital giving birth. Alongside organizations like Lahaina Strong, this collective effort ensured that Kawai and CN found housing just in time for the arrival of their precious daughter, Aliyah.
It fills me with joy to announce that Kawai and CN have embraced parenthood with grace as they welcomed their daughter into the world. However, the reality of their current situation is only temporary. Despite their efforts, the housing crisis plaguing our community, exacerbated by the recent fires, is a dark cloud hanging over the beautiful life they are beginning to build together.
